The pair of Stonechats remained in Hither Field and other BW sector sightings included a Mistle Thrush, a Redwing, a Sparrowhawk and two Buzzards.

Flyovers at the farm included two Great Black-backed Gulls and a Red Kite. Other sightings in the CF sector included 120 Fieldfares, 70 Redwings, six Yellowhammers, 30 Linnets, 12 Skylarks, a Rook, a Kestrel, two Buzzards and two Mallards.

Some 24 Rooks gathered by Green Belt Field, where 50 Redwings and 22 Skylarks were also noted. A Tawny Owl hooted in Pages Acre. In the BW sector, two Meadow Pipits were in Hither Field, a Mistle Thrush was in The Knoll and a Mallard plopped onto Piddly Pond for the night.

Four Mallards flew over the farm and two Little Owls were noted. Other CF sightings included 300 Redwings, 100 Fieldfares, 32 Skylarks, four Meadow Pipits, three Rooks, six Yellowhammers, two Sparrowhawks and a Buzzard.

Sightings in Banstead Woods included 20 Lesser Redpolls near the orchard, as well as a Redwing.

A Peregrine flew over Broadfield and two Stonechats were seen in Hither Field.

A decent day, with a Snipe flushed from Hither Field (IPW), where a Stonechat and nine Meadow Pipits were also seen. Elsewhere in the BW sector, a Woodcock was flushed, a redpoll flew over the Harholt Plantation, a Mistle Thrush was at Parsons Land, and 40 Redwings, a Sparrowhawk and four Buzzards were seen.

At CF, a male Brambling was in Infront George West (IGM), along with 20 Fieldfares, 10 Redwings, 15 Chaffinches, six Yellowhammers and 30 Linnets.

There was an increase in winter thrushes at the farm, with 200 Redwings and 20 Fieldfares counted. Also seen were two Skylarks, a Yellowhammer, 20 Chaffinches, 20 Goldfinches, 100 Starlings, a Kestrel and two Buzzards.

We enjoyed a beautiful, sunny, if a little chilly, Winter Tour this morning. The highlight was a Red Kite drifting low over Broadfield which evidently lingered in the area as it was later clocked over Round Meadow. Other sightings at CF included a Meadow Pipit, two Yellowhammers, 23 Fieldfares, 50 Redwings, 48 Skylarks, five Rooks, four Buzzards, a Kestrel, three Linnets and two Common Gulls. In the BW sector were 12 Redwings, a Buzzard and a Skylark of note.

A female Stonechat was in Hither Field. Four Yellowhammers were at the farm and very small numbers of Fieldfare and Redwing were seen.

23 Lesser Redpolls were mainly in the Harholt Plantation and Hither Field held two Stonechats and nine Meadow Pipits. 50 Redwings were seen in the BW sector. Sightings at CF included a Lesser Black-backed Gull, two Mistle Thrushes, a Yellowhammer, 13 Fieldfares, two Redwings and a Buzzard.

A Grey Heron stood proudly in Chipstead Meadow and other CF sector sightings included 30 Linnets, three Redwings, two Skylarks, 15 Yellowhammers, three Greenfinches, three Fieldfares, a Kestrel and a Sparrowhawk.

Two Hawfinches feeding at the west end of the Harholt Plantation were a real treat and a continuation of this year's invasion, while other sightings in the BW sector included a Mistle Thrush, 25 Redwings, six Fieldfares, 12 Lesser Redpolls and eight Bullfinches.
