September is one of the best months for migrants in our area. An Osprey flew over Canons Farm on 4th, a Merlin was at Canons Farm on the 5th and Ian Ward photographed a Spotted Flycatcher and a Restart at Banstead Woods on the 6th. There have been passage Lesser Whitethroat and Willow Warblers at the Farm recently. There are also the first signs of Winter with about 70 Linnets congregating at Canons Farm.
